Dr Simon Chard BDS(Hons) BSc(Hons) is an award winning cosmetic and implant dentist who qualified with Honours from King’s College London Dental Institute. Based just outside of London, Dr Chard co-owns Rothley Lodge Dental in Surrey with his wife Dr Meghan Chard, where he practises minimally invasive, biologically focused and technologically advanced cosmetic dentistry.
Dr Simon is the Past President of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) and has a strong focus towards achieving optimal aesthetic results utilising the latest technology and minimally invasive techniques. In 2023 he was voted ‘Dentistry’s Person of the Year 2022’ – an award given to the person who has had the most impact on UK dentistry over the last year. Further to this in 2015 Dr Simon was voted the ‘Best Young Dentist in London’ and also the overall ‘Best Young Dentist in the UK’ at the prestigious Dentistry Awards.
Simon is a key opinion leader for many of the top international brands in dentistry. Brands including Align Technology (invisalign), Dentsply Sirona (CAD-CAM technology), Sweden&Martina (Dental implants) and SprintRay (3D printing) trust Dr Simon to lecture to dentists across the world on the latest advancements on technology in cosmetic and implant dentistry.
Dr Chard is also a start up entrepreneur – co-founding PÄRLA Toothpaste Tabs, a next generation oral care brand disrupting the dental sector with cutting edge ingredients and plastic free packaging. Now stocked in over 1500 locations across the UK including Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Boots and Ocado.
At heart Simon is a family man and most of his time away from the clinic is spent with Meghan and their two children. Simon loves to keep fit, training most mornings before work, and is a keen photographer, scuba diver and in a past life was a snowboard instructor!
